The support of our flow community never ceases to amaze!
As many of you may know, the last few months have been pretty tough.
The sudden loss of Hannah’s sister, Abigail, devastated us. We would like to send our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your support and understanding during this difficult time.
Abigail was loved dearly and will be missed by many, and we thank you for your continued patience as we learn to navigate life without her.
This year was the first year Matariki, the Māori new year, was officially marked in Aotearoa with a public holiday. Matariki signifies a time to remember the past, especially those who have left this earth, to celebrate the present, and to plan for the future.
We were lucky enough to celebrate the present with fire performances for our wonderful Taranaki community. We’d love to hear how you celebrated Matariki this year! Flick us a message and let us know!
Hannah and Tim have been working extremely hard over the past few months, building props and fulfilling orders (among many other things!), and have decided it’s time to enlist some help on this front.
We would like to welcome the newest member of our team, our wonderful prop maker, Wilna.
Wilna will be working alongside Hannah and Tim, learning the craft so you continue to get high quality, hand crafted props.
As the year rolls on and the temperature drops (winter is here!) it’s more important than ever to get outside and make the most of the sunshine when it shows its glorious face. And on those days that aren’t quite as sunny, there’s nothing better to warm you up than a good flow session.
So, as always, get your mates together, get outside, and get spinning!
One of our favourite props to warm up with is the dragon staff. There’s something so magical and Zen about the way it moves – we always find ourselves captivated watching dragon flow.
Did you know, dragon staff was invented in 2002 by Gora Krisztian who just wanted “a crazy staff with lots of flames”? Thanks Gora! You certainly hit the mark!
